we'll collect the moments one by one, i guess that's how the future's done   *feist

Rebecca is photographed holding a photo of her late maternal Grandmother. Photographs help us connect to our family histories / our origin stories. They help us remember and stay close to those we wish were still here. Wedding photography is especially sacred as it allows us the opportunity to capture all of our loved ones together, and to record with care, the expansion of our families. I am here as a collaborator with you and your most cherished family + friends. Together we tell your story. xo

the last big wedding we captured before the world shut down. Brooklyn, 2020.

i relish in the simple but profound beauty in my environment.  i did not set out to become a wedding photographer.  i was certain only that i had to create, to collect, to bring together, to communicate... in a way that i could embrace and feel embraced by as many inspiring humans as possible.  i am a collaborator.  i join you on your journey to reflect and create, in that space where we offer ourselves to each other.

i graduated with honours from the studio arts program at the university of guelph, my hometown.  one of my favourite profs, James Carl, said to me in passing one day "never stop doing this"... as he pointed to a large collection of my photographs that were hanging in the student gallery.  for years after, his voice was a reminder, and the encouragement i needed to continue to create honest and emotive work. i have been photographing wedding celebrations for over 15 years...  and the babies blessed to my couples after the wedding (and sometimes before).  i also make time to create personal work and to exhibit. my art has been shown nationally & internationally.  my wedding photography has won prestigious awards such as, the PDN Top Knot award, and the Canadian Wedding Award.  featured by The Lane, Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, Grace Ormonde, Wedluxe, Weddingbells, Elegant Weddings, Toronto Life, The Wedding Co, and Domino Mag.

the most beautiful & rewarding work that i continue to create resides in my home where i live with my husband and our two delicious children, scarlett & emerson.  i look forward to meeting you here and sharing.
