summer is here!

i hope your weekend is full of jumping / swimming / laughing / hot hot heat.

the hot months are for wearing as little as possible, and finding just the right outfit for heat survival.

i LOVE the beautiful children's store Advice From a Caterpillar in summerhill.

the entire store is like a dream / fantasy / fairytale of awesome.

one of my favourite outfits my daughter has ever worn is the one pictured above by Nico Nico and purchased at Advice From a Caterpillar. i mean, just look at how happy she is?!

this saturday leah & matto will wed at the beautiful evergreen brickworks. these two incredible people are wild crazy about each other... but also our planet (they are both working on their environmental policy phd's at MIT & Harvard... i am in awe). as you can imagine their wedding celebration will embrace all things sustainable in the most wholehearted way. their guests will dine on food prepared by The Stop, whose mission is "to increase access to healthy food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds health and community and challenges inequality." they've made homemade jam too. blessings on you both, leah & matto. i feel very fortunate to have been invited into the fold this coming weekend. let the celebrations begin. x rebecca

once upon a time, two weeks ago, i flew porter to the windy city to visit with my dear friends kiri & brett. on our last day together, my friends flew to nyc for a shoot with the amazing vsco... and so i had one day all to myself. Naturally, i found my way to BHLDN.

"Inspired by the Dutch word for “to keep,” as well as countless tales from family and friends of the extraordinary weddings they’d been part of, we began dreaming up something new." And dream they did... the team at Anthropologie created a beautiful place for wedding magic to happen.

oh my heavenly goodness... what an experience. everyone who works there is so NICE. they showed me around, said i was welcome to take as many photos as my little heart desired... and on and on... the nicest! if you are shopping for wedding attire, or just a fabulous frock for a fabulous party... this is the place. i hope you get there.

* these photos were taken with my great grandfathers polaroid camera using impossible film, and with my iphone, edited with the vsco app.
